doesn't take much to rip us into pieces


If I can only accomplish one goal in my humble life, it is to create as much beauty as I can.
Beauty that can fill tiny gaps in our lives, that can string us just a little closer together.
I think I've felt this way since the first time I held a polaroid camera on my eighth birthday.
It was the first medium that aided me in capturing that which I could not yet articulate by any other means.

I am curious, what are your goals?

Also, last night was a lot of fun. So many kind words, so many great people.
But no more Dragonball Z drinking games for a while, yeah?

Hehe.
I was planning on calling you. But I am thinking of catching the bus at 8 or 9am on Wednesday morning, so...would around 10:30 or 11:30 be ok? Is there one you prefer over the oher? And would meeting downtown be better than at the bus station?

Damn it guys why didn't you tell me!??? I went to the imax on tuesday! I would've waited a day longer to see it with you!! also, I want in on laura time if i can!!:) i hung out with alex christian and mel today! it was fun! OH, and i'm currently using my new cmputer!!:) ( i got it monday)

Polaroids are so frekin COOL! Why oh wht did they stop making Polaroid film?

I guess my goals, how I see my life in 10 years would involve having a cool job that holds some kind of importance and recognition. I wouldn't want to be definitely set in any particular place, travelling a lot around interesting places and not worring much for what is happening at "home." No strings attached.

all i need out of life are good company and good adventures, to love and learn and give, and i'll be set. i want to be able to live life as something more than just a routine. carpe diem, y'know? i think that's my ultimate goal.

I can definitely relate to this too. By creating beauty I was also thinking beautiful moments, experiences, and relationships as well as the artistic aspect of it.

my goal, is to be able to do something i love and am thouroughly intrested in, i think thats something to do with russia. However ultimetly whatever i do i want to love doing it.

when i was in grade school i met my friend Peter. we were both hit with the double wammy of having moms who worked late and attending schools within walking distance of this really lame after-school program. we were both required to go.

one of the instructors at the program asked us all to write out a goal for life. we were in third or fourth grade so most people were writing things like "be an astronaut" or "eat the world's largest burger" or "ride a unicorn to the moon and have a birthday party" or some silly shit. Peter and i, independent of one another, wrote "I want to know something about everything."

we were both told that no one can know everything and we both pointed out that we hadn't asked for that. even if we meet someone from Perth Australia and all we know is the name of the soccer team, at the very least we can ask, "where are you from?" and when they respond we can say "Oh, go Black Swans!"

since that day we've been good friends despite distances and other complications. since that day i've kept pretty strong to that goal. one of the advantages of dating someone smarter than me is that i keep finding out about all sorts of things that i don't know. it's a good thing to keep learning

I always love when I see 80 year old students in my art history classes. To think that people so near the end of their lives are still so willing to learn and soak up new knowledge is incredibly inspiring. I also feel similarly when I see grandparents who have learned how to use a computer and the internet to keep in touch with their grandchildren. Learning for the sake of it is such a wonderful activity to continue throughout ones life.

I'd pretty much just like to keep having fun,
keep making things, and keep sharing
the things that I have made with people.

I am now curious about this drinking game of yours XD Wow.

I have lots of little goals I guess, like selling my art (something I have not done yet), or traveling to certain places. But really, my one and only REAL goal in life is to be happy. It's the easiest way to describe it I guess, because there are so many little things that I strive for.

Hehe, Phil is working on making a little webpage for it. The rules are out there already, but poorly written and scattered. It's a really fun drinking game, but you get drunk really fast. That show is ridiculous!
